How we use your information
This notice explains the account, payment and training information used to provide Safe School Journeys.
Contact
- For privacy questions or requests about your account, use the contact details on our Help and contact page.
Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email, username, employer, course choice, postcode and mobile number.
- Course enrolment, lesson progress, assessment answers and scores, feedback, completion evidence and certificate records.
- Organisation details, staff assignments, training deadlines, credit purchases and delivery logs for company-funded learners.
- Payment references, status, amount and refund or dispute events. Card details are entered with the payment provider and are not stored in this training database.
- Security and operational records such as sessions, password-reset requests, access-link use, errors and delivery status.
- Optional anonymous usage events only after you choose “Allow analytics”. These include pages or course steps used, device category and traffic source; do not enter passenger information.
Why we use it
- Provide accounts, paid or company-funded course access, saved progress, assessments, completion records and support.
- Confirm payments, prevent misuse, protect accounts and investigate service errors.
- Give authorised organisations evidence about training they funded.
- Improve course journeys and questions when optional analytics is allowed.
Service providers
- OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure host the service and structured records.
- Stripe processes configured payments. Resend may deliver account email. Twilio or a configured SMS delivery service may send company learner links.
- Google or Facebook may be used only if those sign-in options are configured and selected.
- Each provider handles data under its own service terms. Provider configuration, contracts and any international-transfer safeguards require owner review before launch.
Cookies and device storage
- An essential secure session cookie keeps signed-in users authenticated.
- Device storage keeps course progress available and remembers the analytics choice. Session storage supports one browser visit.
- Optional analytics identifiers and events are not created or sent unless analytics permission is granted. No advertising cookies are used by this application.
Retention and access
- Account, payment, training and certificate records are kept for service, evidence, security and legal needs. You can ask for information about retention or request deletion where the law permits.
- Learners can ask for help, correction or an access request through the Help and contact page. Company-funded records are also visible to the authorised organisation account owner.
- Do not send passwords, assessment answers or passenger names in a support email.
